Answr re-checks your key with our server every time you open the popup, and once a day in the background. A key reads as inactive when:

• the subscription was cancelled, or
• a renewal payment failed — updating your card restores access automatically, or
• an introductory period ended without a successful charge.

If none of those apply, verify your key above and get in touch.

Chrome does not let any extension read browser-internal pages — chrome:// URLs, the Chrome Web Store, and other extensions' pages. This is enforced by the browser and cannot be worked around.

Switch to a normal http:// or https:// tab and scan again.

Recognition quality depends on how large and crisp the text is on screen. What helps most:

• Zoom the page in (Ctrl++) before scanning — bigger text reads far better.
• Drag a box around just the question instead of scanning the whole page.
• Avoid low-contrast text, and handwriting, which the engine doesn't handle.

You can also edit the recognised text directly in the popup and re-run it.

Another extension or an OS-level shortcut may have claimed the same combination. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts, find Answr, and assign a different one. The popup shows whichever shortcut is currently bound.

Use Manage your subscription at the top of this page. Paste your license key and click Manage or cancel — that opens Stripe's billing portal, where you can cancel, swap your card, or download invoices.

Cancelling stops all future charges. Access continues until the period you've already paid for ends. Click Check my billing to see your exact next charge date before deciding.

Lifetime purchases are one-time; there is nothing to cancel.

Your key is on the confirmation page you saw right after checkout, and it may still be saved in the browser you bought from. If you can't find it, contact us with the email address you used at checkout, or your Stripe receipt, and we'll look it up.
